We use the information we collect to:

  • Send follow-up text messages to your clients on your behalf
  • Generate AI-powered follow-up message suggestions based on your estimate details
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send you service-related communications (account updates, billing notices, security alerts)
  • Improve and optimize our platform and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the platform, including Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messaging), and Supabase (data storage)
  • AI providers: We use AI services to generate follow-up message suggestions. Estimate details may be processed by these providers solely for this purpose.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We use Supabase with row-level security policies to ensure your data is isolated and protected. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Client Data & TCPA Compliance

When you upload client contact information and estimates to FollowUpTxt, you represent that you have obtained appropriate consent from your clients to receive text messages. We act as a service provider processing data on your behalf. You are the data controller and are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable messaging laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

FollowUpTxt sends a maximum of 3 automated text messages per estimate on behalf of the contractor. End users (clients) can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used and to improve the user experience. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

FollowUpTxt is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
